How flexible travel works, what your guide does and what you can arrange yourself.
Do I need to book a complete tour package?
No. You can book a licensed guide and choose which other services you want us to arrange. Handle your own hotels, transport or meals, or ask us to organise the whole trip. Our packages are available if you prefer a ready-made plan.
Can I book my own hotels?
Yes. Book your own hotels or approved homestays and share the details with us so we can coordinate your guide and any transport you need. Accommodation must be approved by Bhutan's Department of Tourism. We can help you check a property before you book.
Will a guide be with me throughout the trip?
Guide accompaniment is required in Bhutan. Your licensed guide travels with you and adapts to your preferred pace and level of conversation. Let them know whether you enjoy detailed explanations or prefer some context and time to take things in. They remain attentive to practical needs, safety and local requirements.
Do I have to follow a fixed itinerary?
You don't have to choose one of our set itineraries. We can plan around your interests and leave room to decide parts of the day with your guide. Changes depend on travel times, opening hours, weather, permits and existing bookings. We'll explain any extra cost or booking restriction before you agree to a change.
What if I don't know where to start?
Tell us what you enjoy, roughly how long you have and any budget or pace preferences. We can suggest places and a route, or plan the whole trip with you. You can leave the homepage planner's choices undecided and work through them with our team.
How much will my Bhutan trip cost?

Flights, insurance, tips and optional upgrades are extra. A guide-only or selected-service trip gets its own itemised quote.

Yes. You can apply and pay the applicable government charges yourself, or ask us to handle them. Choosing fewer services does not remove visa or permit requirements or the Sustainable Development Fee (SDF). Requirements and rates depend on nationality; your quote makes clear which charges we handle.
